These nylon insert lock nuts have a nylon material located at the top of the nut. The bolt is thread into the nylon material which helps prevent loosening from vibration. They offer excellent vibration resistance and positive locking under severe shock. This nylon collar also prevents liquid seepage and internal corrosion while compressive forces exert constant friction grip on the bolt and prevent loosening. Further these nuts can be reused and since they are made of zinc plated steel, they further ensure a corrosion resistance.
