Hex Bolts are also known as Hex Head Cap Screws and are designed to secure an object within or against another object. They have a tighter tolerance with a chamfered end and a washer face under the bolt head. The length of these bolts is measured from under the head to the end of the bolt. Being stainless steel protects the bolts from corrosion and rust and are therefore best for general hardware use or where high strength is not required.
Always soap up the stainless steel thread before use because otherwise it could lead to the thread locking up and then the bolt will not be able to be removed or tightened.
