Sandblast cleaning is one of best methods used for treating ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Blasting services are commonly used to remove grease, old paint, rust, or prep a surface to accept a new coating system that will protect the material from corrosion or weather decay. Our current blasting system uses pressurized air in combination with an abrasive media to effectively remove coatings and improve surface appearance. We work closely with you to ensure your parts, and equipment are restored to its best surface potential by providing you with a skilled team and mobile sandblasting service that won't disappoint.

The Sandblasting Process

Also known as “abrasive blasting,” sandblasting is the process of smoothing, roughening, and cleaning a hard surface by propelling a stream of solid particles across a surface under high pressure and speed.

The term “sand” in sandblasting is a general term used to reference any tiny bit of material. A2 Ventures Inc., offers a range of blast media, such as glass beads, walnut shell, sand, garnet, corn, black shot, aluminum oxide, and environmentally friendly man made materials.

Media selection is critical considering different media types come with varying qualities like density, particle size, hardness, etc. Sandblasting machines have a chamber on top where the blasting media is poured. It is then connected to a dedicated air compressor that propels the media out through a handheld nozzle when activated. Depending on the need, the media selected for the project is based on the material that is being stripped and the pressure of the media may be anywhere from 50 to 130 PSI. making our process safe to use on most ferrous and non-ferrous materials.

The media is then blasted with enough force to clean and smooth the surface of an object.

Industries we serve

Abrasive blasting is considered one of the most effective and efficient ways to restore your agricultural tools and equipment to its original condition without causing damage.

  • Animal Housing Equipment
  • Concrete Floors
  • Feed Bins & Silos
  • Building Exteriors
  • Tractors, Excevators & Loaders
  • Fuel Tanks
  • Storage Tanks
  • Corrosion & Rust removal
  • Etc..

As a building owner sandblasting is an easy and effective graffiti removal solution for
various surfaces. Maybe you have a driveway with paint that you no longer want or a concrete block wall, brick wall or a wood fence with old peeling paint that you want removed. Sandblasting is a great way that can save you time and money in the long run.

  • Garage floors
  • Timber frame
  • Fences
  • Brick & Concrete walls
  • Steel structures
  • Wood siding
  • Corrosion & Rust removal

Keeping your infustructure protected is key to your opperation running smoothly and safely. protecting and maintaining your structures and equipment starts with the right preparation. We have experience servicing a wide range of industries and applications including mining, agriculture, construction, industrial and civil infrastructure.

  • Solvent tanks
  • Steel beam structures
  • Mining equipment
  • Fuel Tanks
  • Building foundations
  • Corrosion & Rust removal

Rust, oxidization and grime from leaking hydraulics on a vehicle isn’t just unsightly, it can actually cause severe damage. When vehicles are left outside for extended periods of time they are exposed to the damaging effects of extreme weather & natural elements.

  • Semi trucks & trailers
  • Loaders, excavators, dozers
  • Rust & Corrosion removal
  • Cranes & fork lifts
  • Tandam dump trucks

Sandblasting uses & benefits

Inferior surface preparations can lead to poor coating applications. Without the removal of all contaminants, you are drastically reducing the life of the coating.

The sandblast process leaves a surface shiny, smooth, and clear of contaminants, making it a perfect solution to remove irregularities from ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It will also remove burrs, tags, or excess material to ensure an easy assembly.

This is the main task of sandblasting. Paint and corrosion can be challenging to get rid of when relying on traditional cleaning techniques. A sandblaster can remove stubborn paint, rust, corrosion and contaminints from vehicles, parts, and machines to buildings, wood and concrete without harming the material beneath the coating.

Sandblasting capibilities

When a surface is coated in grease, paint or another undesired veneer, a sandblaster can completely remove the residue and restore the item to its original condition. When machining leaves sharp burrs on an object, sandblasters can smooth it until it is safe to handle.

  • Concrete, stone & brick
  • Metals
  • Wood
  • Some plastics
  • Brass
  • Aluminum
  • Silver

A large number of particles are available for use during sandblasting. Using the wrong particle or process can cause surface damage. A2 Ventures Inc., technicians are trained and experienced with various blasting agents and processes. Hiring an inexperienced worker or taking on as a DIY project sets you up for safety risks, poor quality work and potential damage to your product. Sandblasting is a relatively inexpensive service, therefore we recommend leaving it to the pros.
